Pepsi (Japan) started its campaign in collaboration with STAR WARS EPISODE I in the summer of 1999, launched the third phase in November 1999 to celebrate the year 2000 and the movie 'Episode I: The Phantom Menace' specifically for the Japanese market. This C-3PO Sound Big Bottle Cap was one of the campaign prizes (it could not be purchased).

When you press the button on its back, it plays the 'STAR WARS' main theme. This version of C-3PO is the unfinished model seen in EPISODE I, with detailed wiring and mechanical parts carefully reproduced.
